I love summer. Even though it has been hot enough to fry eggs on the sidewalk lately, there’s something so majestic about the warm, golden glow at the end of a long summer’s day. The sound of cicadas in the trees, the ever-changing blues, pinks and oranges in the panted sky… it’s eternally nostalgic and reminds me of when I was a little girl catching lightening bugs in jars and staying out, soaking up every bit of playtime until the street lights came on. I still love being outside. As a photographer I love photographing families outdoors… capturing mommies helping daughters look for dragonflies and sniffing pretty flowers. And everyone being silly. Lots and lots of silliness!
I had the pleasure of photographing Ms. T and Miss C. last week. We found the perfect spot in Summerwood and had the entire place all to ourselves (shhh… it’s my little secret!) Well, aside from a huge spider that wanted to take refuge in my camera bag! The dragonflies were dancing, the sun was radiating a lovely golden glow and we were eating Smarties like there was no tomorrow. Miss C. was so caught up in the moment she even broke out into a full rendition of Firework by Katy Perry.
Summer is winding down and fall is just around the corner. Don’t miss your chance to capture your family living life to the fullest. Call me to book your session! 281-224-1542
